BLOOD, SWEAT & GEARS
TRACK, HELMET, THROTTLE
Son of former motorcycle road and trackracer Martin Murphy, and brother of the National 125 Champion, Darragh Murphy, Andrew had his future in motorbike racing embedded in his genes. Starting competitive motorcycle racing in 2005 at just 13 years old, Andrew won his first race on an RS125 Aprilla claiming the number 1 spot on the podium for the Irish & Southern Centre Championship in '06.

STRAIGHTS ARE FOR FAST BIKES; BENDS ARE FOR FAST RIDERS
In '07, Andrew's talent gained an abundance of attention. Out of 1000 racers, Andrew was one of 20 to be hand picked to race in the Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup. He qualified in Germany, progressing on to the next round in Valencia, Spain, and, following more success, secured a spot in the final round in Nice, France. At just 15 years of age, that's pretty impressive right?

BRILLIANCE CAN'T WIN WITHOUT PERSISTANCE
In '08, Andrew built on his success and dominated the 125 GP. After claiming the spot prize once again, Andrew naturally progressed on to the 250 GP where his talent would have the opportunity to develop and flourish further in order to meet a higher standard of competition; a challenge he faced with ease.

RACE TO WIN
Andrew's skill and natural ability blossomed and his success continued as he went on to the 600cc class at just 17 years old where he raced against excellent and experienced riders. He claimed first place on the podium in the Bridgestone Supersport 600 Irish title and outshone himself two-fold. Not only did he take home a win, he also took home an incredible achievement that is seldom attained at such a young age.

4 WHEELS MOVE THE BODY; 2 WHEELS MOVE THE SOUL
Due to the economic downturn Andrew was forced to take a break from racing & so moved to Australia for two years where he still kept his foot on the gears. Upon his return, Andrew won the 250cc MX2 Championship and several other grasstrack races on his RMZ450

WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU A CURVE, LEAN IN TO IT
Andrew made his remarkable comeback to short circuit racing in October of 2016 bringing back that edge of your seat competition for first place in Mondello. He qualified in the final round of the Masters in pole position and went on to win all three races on a Honda 400 NC30. His comeback to Irish racing turned heads and put Andrew right back on the map as a threat on the tar.

RESILIENCE GETS RESULTS
Andrews successful streak continued in 2016 in Bishopstown Court where he qualified in pole position and claimed first place in the Sunflower Race and also took home the silverware for the Adrian Graham Memorial Cup after dominating the track yet again.

MASTERS SUPERBIKE CUP CHAMPION
Andrew picked up right where he left off for the 2017 racing season and dominated the Mondello race track. With skill and determination all things are possible and Andrew proved this to be true when he declared his place on the highest step of the podium after winning the Masters Superbike Cup Championship on his Kawasaki ZX10

FORTHCOMING 2018 SEASON
Andrew is currently in training for the 2018 season. He is preparing the ZX10 for a week of racing in Cartagena to get more track time under his belt for another hopeful year of success with the help of his amazing family, friends & sponsors. More to follow so stay tuned for another cracker of a year!
