April Superbikes

So I'm home from the most recent three rounds of the Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship.

I traveled up early Friday morning so I could get in a few hours of practice on the ZX10r. It was going okay but unfortunately my suspension problem is still on-going. I did a lot of work on it with my team and Kieran Ryan over the whole weekend but it still wasn't performing how it should be so this effected my cornering, speed and lap times which I was very disappointed with. Our team rallied together and we did our best with the knowledge we had to resolve the suspension issues as best we could but by the time Sunday afternoon came I was feeling quite hopeless for the final race as nothing seemed to be working.

I qualified in 5th on Saturday morning and finished in 6th place for Race 1 that afternoon despite the hard work trying to improve the suspension. I wasn't feeling very confident for Sundays races but I went out with the intention to give it my best shot and enjoy myself and that's exactly what I did.

I started Race 2 in 6th position and finished in 7th place and then I crossed the finish line in 8th place for Race 3. All in all, it could have been a better weekend but hopefully with some more time and tuning I'll be able to bring home some better results.

I gave yesterday evening disassembling the bike and I'm getting the suspension and steering damper shipped for tuning to see if it can be improved before the next round starts but if all goes well I may have the OHLINS suspension set-up in time for it so fingers crossed!

I want to take the time to thank the medical staff, marshal's and everyone that organised this weekends racing and make it possible to continue competing in this sport. Another big thanks to my team who traveled up and supported me throughout the entire weekend and to my followers across my social platforms for the encouragement the last few days.
